Cold (The Cure Cover) – New song release!

Our cover of ‘Cold’ by The Cure is available now exclusively on Bandcamp! It will be streaming everywhere else later this month.

‘Cold’ was written and originally performed by The Cure. We decided to cover it as part of our set in a livestream performance hosted by Out Of This World The Cure Italia. The performance did well on YouTube, so we decided it needed to be released officially. ‘Cold’ has been a favorite of mine for many years. Of all the bands that I love, The Cure will always be #1. No one will ever take their place. – Fuchsia

Lyrics:

Scarred, your back was turned, curled like an embryo
Take another face, you will be kissed again
I was cold as l mouthed the words and crawled across the mirror
And wait, await the next breath

Your name like ice into my heart

A shallow grave, a monument to the ruined age
Ice in my eyes and eyes like ice don’t move
Screaming at the moon, another past time

Your name like ice into my heart

Everything as cold as life. Can no one save you?
Everything as cold as silence and you will never say a word.

Your name like ice into my heart

Lyrics

Side by side. Together on this road. Clutching on tightly as society implodes.

Bridge: Here is where I feel most safe, with you, in our hiding place.

Chorus: A silver lining in these traumatic times. Its so refreshing, a ray of light.

Unshakeable fear. Scared of what comes next. A foreboding sense the future is vexed.

Stardust Single – Listener Reviews

“I really like the dreaminess of the song. The instrumentals are excellent (love the violin). The vocals are soft and somewhat wispy but still strong and stable sounding. This is one of those songs that I wish were 6-8 minutes long because it really sort of draws me into a mood and almost takes me out of where I’m at (an excellent quality for any kind of art). Really well done.”
