Up The Down Escalator (The Chameleons Cover) – New Song Release!

Our new song ‘Up The Down Escalator’ was just released today, Friday, June 10, 2022. You can stream it anywhere or download it directly from us at Bandcamp.

This song, originally by The Chameleons in 1983, is so ahead of it’s time lyrically, and very appropriate for the times that we are living in now. Our version was initially released on the 2021 Stranger Times tribute album by Coitus Interruptus Productions, featuring Bestial Mouths, Sol Sirenn, and many other talented artists. Mark Burgess of The Chameleons said “Wow Escalator is GREAT”. This particular version was remixed for official release in 2022. We hope you enjoy it!

Cold (The Cure Cover) – New song release!

Our cover of ‘Cold’ by The Cure is available now exclusively on Bandcamp! It will be streaming everywhere else later this month.

‘Cold’ was written and originally performed by The Cure. We decided to cover it as part of our set in a livestream performance hosted by Out Of This World The Cure Italia. The performance did well on YouTube, so we decided it needed to be released officially. ‘Cold’ has been a favorite of mine for many years. Of all the bands that I love, The Cure will always be #1. No one will ever take their place. – Fuchsia

Bella Lune opens for Ayria and Inertia in Mesa on 12/6/16!

We are opening for the lovely and talented Ayria on her Paper Dolls Tour! We are also looking forward to sharing the stage with Inertia, who are coming all the way from the UK. The bands will also be joined by local DJs: Angel Toxin and Zander.

We are excited to show off our new stage setup, which includes visuals by NyQ Bonaventura and new automated lighting that synchs with the music and video! Our new keyboardist, Lance, will be making his Arizona debut with Bella Lune at this show! His first show with us was in July 2016 at Bar Sinister in LA. This is our first show in our home state in 6 months. It will also be our last show for awhile, because we are going back in the studio to make our next album and change up our live set. We hope to see you there!!

Bella Lune Releases Fourth Studio LP ‘Tranzendance’

Arizona indie electro group Bella Lune has released their fourth official studio album, Tranzendance, on January 31, 2015, via the band’s self-run record label Aetheria Music.

Their first album since 2013’s Secrets draws on influences from dance-oriented music like EDM, EBM, pop and witchhouse, and adds a more bass-heavy approach to their song template of post-punk and ethereal music. Lyrical topics include introspection in both positive and negative lights, in addition to the politically charged Cease To Exist, which concerns climate change.

The album as a whole is a collaboration between Bella Lune front-woman Fuchsia, keyboardist Hurley and Mike Jenney of Alter Der Ruine. Jenney laid the beats and percussion for each song and provided additional production. Under his side-project Dystonix, Alex King of BlakOpz also contributed a remix of Hollow Hearts, a song from Secrets, adding layers of dance-oriented synths and a heavier atmosphere.

Tranzendance is available for purchase as a digipack on the band’s website http://bellalune.com/. Fans can also name their price for a download of the album on the Bandcamp page http://bellalune.bandcamp.com/. A portion of all proceeds go to musicandmemory.org, a charity that seeks to enrich the lives of elderly Alzheimer’s patients in nursing homes through music therapy.

ABOUT BELLA LUNE: 

Bella Lune is an indie electro group in Arizona that has been writing, recording, and touring since 2007. Lead by singer and songwriter Fuchsia, Bella Lune draws influences from post-punk bands such as The Cure and Cocteau Twins, as well as electronic dance, indie and pop music. Bella Lune released their debut LP Abstracted Visions in 2008 and became a live band in 2009. They toured in Japan and California in 2010. The band released their second LP Synesthesia in 2010, and the Ophelia Maxi-Single in 2011. They toured in Europe in 2012, released the LP Secrets in 2013, and their fourth studio album Tranzendance in 2015.
